RULES & REGULATIONS ("Contest Rules")
Participation in the Contest constitutes full and unconditional agreement and acceptance of these Contest Rules, which are final on all matters relating to the Contest.
Contest Period: The Contest begins at 12:01:01 p.m. ET on Thursday August 9, 2012 and closes at 11:59:59 a.m. ET on Thursday August 30, 2012 (the "Contest Period").
The Contest is sponsored by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. ("MLSE") and the Toronto Raptors (collectively, the "Contest Sponsors"). MLSE’s computer is the official clock of the Contest. Any entries received after the end of the Contest Period will be void.
Eligibility: This Contest is open to all legal Ontario residents who are at least 18 years of age and who live within a seventy five (75) mile radius of the City of Toronto. The Contest Sponsors reserve the right to require proof of age prior to awarding any Prize. This Contest is not open to: (i) employees (and their immediate families and those with whom they are domiciled) of the Contest Sponsors, the National Basketball Association ("NBA") and its Member Teams, NBA Properties Inc., and each of their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, agents and representatives, as well as any advertising and promotional agencies assisting with the promotion of this Contest. For the purposes of these Contest Rules, "immediate family" includes the spouse, son, daughter, brother, sister, mother or father of an individual (whether step-, half- or adopted).
How to Enter: No purchase necessary. To enter the Contest, visit www.raptors.com/pickthepak , follow the Contest link, vote for your favourite potential member of the 2012-13 Toronto Raptors Dance Pak, and fully complete and submit the online entry form. Voters will asked to select their favourite member of the 2012-13 Toronto Raptors Dance Pak.
Entrants may submit a maximum of one (1) entry per day during the Contest Period. For the purposes of these Contest Rules, a "day" means the twenty-four (24) hour period starting at 12:01:01 p.m. ET and ending at 11:59:59 a.m. the following day.
Entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. Multiple entries by the same individual using multiple e-mail accounts or using any device to play multiple times or as multiple entrants are strictly prohibited. All entries are subject to verification by the Contest Sponsors. If the Contest Sponsors discover that an entrant has attempted to enter the Contest other than in accordance with this Rule 3, that entrant will be disqualified from the Contest.
Potential Prize winners may be required to provide the Contest Sponsors with proof that the potential Prize winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry. All entries will become the exclusive property of the Contest Sponsors and will not be acknowledged or returned. Entries which are incomplete or fraudulent are null and void. The Contest Sponsors accept no responsibility for entries which are lost, misdirected or delayed for any reason. Nor is any responsibility assumed for incomplete entries, incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, including (but not limited to), malfunction (including, without limitation, technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems or servers), human error, lost/delayed/garbled internet/e-mail transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or failures of any telephone, technical, network, online, hardware or software or any combination hereof and assume no liability for damage to entrant’s or any person’s computer resulting from participating in the Contest or the failure of Contest Sponsors to process any entry and otherwise award any Prize.
Prizes: There is one (1) Grand Prize (“Grand Prize”) available to be won.
The Grand Prize consists of the following:
• The Prize consists of one (1) pair of courtside seats to a 2012/13 Toronto Raptors pre-season home game. Date and exact location to be determined at sole discretion of Contest Sponsors.
• One (1) pair of Lower Bowl seats to a 2012/13 Toronto Raptors pre-season home game. Date and exact location to be determined at sole discretion of Contest Sponsors
• A meet and greet with the “Pick the Pak” winner and select members of the 2012/13 Toronto Raptors Dance Pak members at the Molson Canadian Brewhouse. Specific members of the Dance Pak to be determined by Contest Sponsors in their sole discretion.
• Four (4) Prime rib sandwiches, Four (4) bags of popcorn, and four (4) 24oz pops.
Approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $2500
All incidental costs and expenses associated with the Grand Prize that are not specifically referred to in these Contest Rules, including (without limitation) taxes, ground transportation to and from the Air Canada Centre, food, beverages , concessions, incidental and personal expenses, and items of a personal nature, are not included and are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize winner.
Draw: One (1) random draw will be conducted at the offices of MLSE in Toronto, Ontario from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The potential Grand Prize winner will be notified by either telephone or e-mail at the telephone number/e-mail address provided on the Contest entry form within forty eight (48) hours following selection. In the event that the Contest Sponsors are unable to contact the potential Grand Prize winner within such 48-hour period following selection, the Contest Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify the applicable potential Grand Prize winner and select a new potential Grand Prize winner.
Before being declared the Grand Prize winner, a potential Grand Prize winners must: (i) correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without human, electronic, mechanical or other assistance; (ii) provide the Contest Sponsors with signed a Declaration of Compliance with the Contest Rules ("Declaration of Compliance"), and (iii) provide the Contest Sponsor with a signed Release of Liability signed the potential Grand Prize winner and, his/her guest, releasing and indemnifying the Contest Sponsors and the NBA and its Member Teams, NBA Properties Inc. and each of their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, agents and representatives (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all liability in connection with: (a) the Grand Prize winner and his/her guest’s participation in the Contest and Grand Prize; (b) the acceptance and use of any Grand Prize awarded in the Contest; and (c) the administration of the Contest by the Contest Sponsors, including (without limitation) the selection of the Grand Prize winner or the distribution of the Grand Prize awarded in this Contest.
The Declaration of Compliance and Release of Liability must be returned on or before the date indicated on such documents or the Grand Prize will be forfeited. The Contest Sponsors may require the Grand Prize winners and their guests to sign any additional documents prior to their participation in the Grand Prize, including but not limited to additional releases and/or consents. Where a Grand Prize winner’s guest is under 18 years of age, the parent/legal guardian of such guest shall complete the Release of Liability and any additional documents.
If a potential Grand Prize winner cannot answer, or incorrectly answers, the mathematical skill-testing question, or, in the case that a potential Grand Prize winner fails to respond to the notification by 5:00 p.m. ET five (5) business days following the Grand Prize Draw, or if a potential Prize winner otherwise does not satisfy the Contest eligibility requirements, or satisfy any other Contest conditions, or voluntarily withdraws from participation in the Contest, that potential Grand Prize winner will be disqualified and another potential Grand Prize winner may be selected. Should another new potential Grand Prize winner not be selected, the applicable Grand Prize will be forfeited and no such Grand Prize will be awarded.
General Rules
Each Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded and no prize substitutions of cash or otherwise or transfer of the Grand Prize will be made, provided that the Contest Sponsors may make prize substitutions of equal or greater value for any reason without prior notice. Refunds, resale and transfers of prizes are not permitted. Only potential Grand Prize winners will be notified.
Potential Grand Prize winners will each be required to consent to the use of his/her name, image, photograph, voice statement(s), and city of residence by the Contest Sponsors and the NBA, without further compensation or future notice, for any and all publicity purposes, commercial or otherwise, in all media, prior to being awarded the Grand Prize. The Contest Sponsors may require the guests of the Grand Prize winner to consent to same prior to their participation in the Grand Prize.
Entrants hereby release, waive and discharge any and all claims of damage, loss or causes of action (including, negligence), including (but not limited to) death, personal injury or loss or damage to property, which the entrant or any of the entrant’s representatives, heirs, next of kin or assignees ("Entrant’s Representatives") may have or which may hereinafter accrue to the entrant or Entrant Representatives against the Released Parties as a result of: (i) the entrant’s participation in the Contest, (ii) the receipt or use of the Grand Prize awarded in connection with this Contest; and (iii) the administration of the Contest (including winner selection) and distribution of the Grand Prize awarded herein.
The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations and will be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. These Contest Rules are subject to change without notice in order to comply with any applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over the Contest Sponsors. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Contest Rules or the rights and obligations as between any entrant and the Contest Sponsors in connection with the Contest will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario including procedural provisions without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction’s laws.
By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Contest Rules and all decisions of the Contest Sponsors, which decisions are final with respect to all matters relating to the Contest, including (without limitation) the selection of the Grand Prize winner.
By entering the Contest, entrants agree to hold harmless and indemnify the Released Parties against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described with respect to or arising out of either: (i) entrant’s participation in the Contest; (ii) the receipt or use of the Prizes awarded herein; or (iii) the administration of the Contest (including winner selection) and distribution of the Grand Prize awarded herein.
The following are prohibited and will result in automatic disqualification from the Contest: (1) using any method that artificially increases odds of winning; (2) non-compliance with these Contest Rules; and (3) any other act which the Contest Sponsors determine, at their sole discretion, jeopardizes the integrity of the Contest.
The Contest Sponsors may terminate, modify, suspend or withdraw from this Contest (and/or any aspect thereof, including methods for selection of the Grand Prize winner), in whole or in part, at any time without notice for any reason, without liability, at their sole discretion.
In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the Contest Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including but not limited to the Contest entry form, these Contest Rules will prevail, govern and control.
In addition, the Contest Sponsors will not assume any responsibility of any nature whatsoever in all cases where their inability to hold the Contest or to remit the prizes to the winners results from a cause beyond their control, including acts of God, weather conditions, strike, lock-out or other labour dispute.
Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should an attempt be made, the Contest Sponsors reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
All intellectual property, including but not limited to trade-marks, trade names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source code, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by the Contest Sponsors and/or their affiliates.
By completing and submitting the information requested for participation in the Contest, an entrant consents to the collection, use, and disclosure of his/her personal information by the Contest Sponsors and their agents and representatives for the purposes of (i) their internal use to facilitate the administration of the Contest, and (ii) if an entrant has so elected, to allow the Contest Sponsors and/or authorized third parties selected by the Contest Sponsors to provide the entrant with information on the Contest Sponsors’ products and/or services. The collection, use and/or disclosure of any personal information an entrant provides are subject to MLSE’s Privacy Policy, which is set out at http://www.mlse.com/privacy_policy.aspx.
Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission to use winner’s name and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and trade by the Contest Sponsors, the Toronto Raptors the National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, NBA Properties, Inc., and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates directors, officers, governors, employees and agents, without further authorization, compensation, or remuneration, unless prohibited by law.

Requests must be received no later than October 30, 2012. Any requests received after this date will not be processed.
